Question: how to stabilize the configuration of the dual head?

Answer:

edit / etc/kde4/kdm/Xsetup

and add your own conf:

xrandr - output HDMI1 - primary - mode 1280x1024 - pos 0x0 - rotate normal - output VGA1 - -pos 1280x0 - rotate normal &

That 's my and means

put HDMI1 VGA1 as the primary left and right as secondary.
Note that the panel is only shown on the primary.
